The primary purpose of this project is to provide a comprehensive method that will respond appropriately to some of the issues that are of most concern to the community of Scarborough. The current fiscal environment demands the understanding of the changing dynamics of the job market. Some people within the community, specifically young people, now face uncertainty and barriers.

For many young people, the lack of suitable employment only intensifies the predicament they encounter. In order to address these issues the Shouters Youth Project is developing and initiative aimed at alleviating some barriers to youths aged 17 to 24 years as Youth Entrepreneurship Project.

The project, therefore, will be designed for less advantaged youth already commited to creating their own business and with the basic skills to start a business. Youth selection will be based on assessment and assignment ideas.

The duration of the program is a total of 42 weeks in which eight (8) youth will complete the project in four phases.
